  • Windsor, CO – The Windsor Chamber of Commerce has hired Scott Soldat-Valenzuela as the President and CEO. Soldat-Valenzuela assumed the post May 13.

Soldat-Valenzuela brings extensive Chamber of Commerce leadership experience to the role. He served as the President/CEO of the Fountain Hills, Ariz., chamber for five years and the same role for the Peoria, Ariz., chamber for three years. His non-profit leadership experience spans more than 15 years over several organizations. He holds a Master’s degree in organizational management.

“Scott has a clear ability to transform a Chamber into a transparent, innovative and forward-thinking organization,” said Board of Directors Chair Mary Gabriel. “He has worked with growing communities, like Windsor. We believe he has the skills and ability to positively position the Chamber for the future.”

The Chamber has been without staff leadership for several months after the unexpected passing of Michal Connors, former executive director and 17-year Chamber veteran.

Most recently Scott served at the President/CEO of the Fountain Hills Chamber for nearly 5 years. He helped the Chamber expand all signature events and grow member revenue by over 40% during his employment. Additionally, he and the Board developed and are in the process of executing a plan to expand the Chamber facility from 4500 to over 9000 square feet and launch new services that include office leasing, co-working and event space for up to 150 people.

Scott focuses on value and customer service first and believes everything else will follow. During his time in Fountain Hills he grew strong partnerships with local companies, Town leadership, the Mayor and Council, and numerous other civic and community organizations that contribute to quality of life within Fountain Hills.

Prior to working in Fountain Hills, he was the President/CEO of the Peoria, AZ Chamber. While leading the Chamber, the organization had grown from three to six signature events. Each was designed to engage the business community through networking, marketing and even some fun. From hosting the Mayor’s state of the city address to kicking-off baseball with the dinner on the diamond to starting the first regional business education conference and expo.

Scott holds both a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Management from the University of Phoenix. He is an avid fan of technology and enjoys traveling with his family. Born in Chicago, his family moved to the Phoenix metro area in 1985 while in elementary school. Scott is married to Jeffrey Soldat-Valenzuela and they have four children, Victoria, 23, Tyler, 19, Carley, 6, and Jacob, 5. Jeffrey is the Wells Fargo Vice-President and District Manager for the Platte River area. They are thrilled to have recently relocated to Windsor in April.
